Review Policy
Peer review is an essential component of scholarly publishing and ensures that the International Journal for Advanced Research and Innovative Studies (JARIS) maintains high academic, ethical, and research standards. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a rigorous editorial and peer-review process conducted by qualified subject experts.
Technical Screening
Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial technical assessment to ensure compliance with the journal’s submission requirements. This includes:
- Adherence to author guidelines
- Completeness of submission files
- Plagiarism screening
- Verification of ethical approval statements, where applicable
Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for technical revision before further processing.
Editorial Pre-Check
Following technical screening, the manuscript is evaluated by the Academic Editor (Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board Member, or Guest Editor) to assess:
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Academic quality and originality
- Ethical compliance
- Overall scientific merit
Based on this assessment, the manuscript may be:
- Sent for peer review
- Returned to the author for revision
- Rejected if found to be outside the journal’s scope or academically inadequate
Peer Review Process
JARIS follows a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.
Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers selected on the basis of their subject expertise. Reviewers assess the manuscript for academic quality, originality, methodological rigor, and contribution to the field.
Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments. Where necessary, revised manuscripts may undergo an additional round of peer review.
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Academic Editor based on reviewers’ recommendations and the overall merit of the manuscript.
